VIDEO: My Presentation on Politics and the Boko Haram Insurgency at ARI London

The video of my talk on the fragmentation of political cohesion and the ‘Boko Haram’ insurgency at the Africa Research Institute (ARI) London, in October this year, is out. It is 21 minutes long. Enjoy.

  1. I really enjoyed this video, and I find your unique POV very valuable. Is there a way to contact you formally regarding an event hosted by Cambridge University Nigerian Society? Thanks.

  2. ZAINAB,This could not have been better said, thank you for your understanding and articulate delivery. I do hope and pray that some day our generation will be more accommodating, tolerant and will be more respectful for each others views, and some day we will truly find unity in our diversity, we will learn to focus more on what unit us as a Nation than what divides us. Boko Haram exist today because of our mutual suspicion of each other, it exists today because we point fingers and accuse each other, rather than unit together and fight our common enemy! We have completely lost our humanity and empathy because of our division, we simply fold our arms and say it doesn’t concern us, we see it not as our own problems, hence we do not collectively fight it. We have kept silence for too long, we must all rise to face our collective enemies as a Nation “for the man dies in all who keep silence in the face of tyranny. God bless you Zainab for not only seeking knowledge, but for also sharing and engaging us.
